Salary: $75000-$95000 (to commensurate with experience)

Pay Grade: 15

Job Summary

Position Summary:
This customer-facing role is responsible for day-to-day communication, program adoption, customer satisfaction, and revenue growth within assigned accounts. Target accounts are  hospitality clients. The Account Manager serves as a trusted advisor, driving operational excellence and strategic initiatives that align with customer goals.

 

Key Responsibilities

Customer Relationship Management

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with assigned customers to ensure satisfaction and long-term partnership success.
  • Act as a dedicated on-site representative at client locations, fostering trust and delivering responsive support tailored to client needs.
  • Facilitate customer meetings and executive business reviews in a timely and actionable manner.
  • Provide training and support on company technology and reporting platforms.

Program Growth & Strategic Initiatives

  • Identify and implement opportunities for supply cost reduction, rebate growth, quality and safety improvements, and enhanced sustainability.
  • Promote expanded use of local and diversity vendors to meet client objectives.
  • Drive adoption of new programs and showcase upcoming initiatives during client visits.

Financial & Contract Management

  • Manage all aspects of customer contract requirements using project management tools.
  • Monitor account performance metrics and ensure alignment with business objectives.

Sourcing & Category Management

  • Collaborate with sourcing teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize supplier relationships within food and beverage categories.
  • Support category strategies by recommending products and suppliers that align with client needs and sustainability goals.
  • Analyze purchasing trends and provide insights to improve product mix and compliance with negotiated programs.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with internal teams and suppliers to deliver integrated solutions that meet client expectations.
  • Facilitate communication between customers and internal stakeholders to resolve issues and drive program success.

Reporting & Communication

  • Prepare clear and concise written materials, including strategic account plans and presentations.
  • Provide regular updates on account health, program adoption, and growth opportunities.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • 2–5 years of experience in account management or customer success; experience in food and beverage sourcing or category management preferred.
  • Must be a permanent resident of the state of Hawaii.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPivot, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to build long-term relationships and work collaboratively across functions.
  • Up to 50% travel annually.
