  • Lead crisis communications for external audiences, including drafting statements and guiding media responses.
  • Manage the relationship with the PR agency, creating press releases, seeking thought leadership opportunities, and elevating Chartwells’ voice in the industry.
  • Oversee company social media accounts — posting content, monitoring engagement, measuring performance, and managing the relationship with the social media publishing partner.
  • Host and organize client webinars that share insights, updates, and brand stories.
  • Identify and develop compelling stories and narratives for external channels.
  • Supervise the Communications Manager to ensure internal communications are aligned, efficient, and support associate engagement.

  • Streamline communication workflows and implement AI-powered tools to improve consistency, speed, and personalization across internal and external channels.
  • Stay informed on emerging communication innovations, and industry trends to proactively evolve strategies and platforms.

Qualifications:

  • Innovative thinker with experience applying AI-driven tools.
  • Experience managing agencies and external vendors.
  • Ability to lead crisis communications with professionalism and discretion.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally and building relationships at all organizational levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs required including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook; graphic design experience a plus.
  • Some travel required (up to 25%).
