Job Summary:

The Manager, Business Performance & Labor Governance plays a critical role in supporting the Labor Relations Department by managing strategic projects, leading data governance for the LR master data management tool (CBA Central), and providing data-driven insights to strengthen accountability and efficiency. This multifaceted role requires a blend of project management, analytical expertise, and governance leadership to ensure data integrity, standardization, and operational excellence across the Labor Relations function.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage various Labor Relations projects, rooted in standardization and continuous improvement to grow the department at scale.
  • Develop and maintain project charters and timelines, ensuring adherence to deadlines and resource allocation.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks and issues, proactively addressing challenges to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and communication among project stakeholders.
  • Utilize project management tools and methodologies to track progress and report on project status.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret Labor Relations data to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
  • Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and dashboards to track departmental performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Generate regular and ad-hoc reports on Labor Relations metrics, providing data-driven recommendations to management.
  • Conduct research and analysis on industry trends and best practices in Labor Relations.
  • Maintain data integrity and accuracy within Labor Relations systems.
  • Forge a cross-functional collaborative relationship with E15, Compass Group’s industry-leading analytics team.
  • Serve as the leader of Data Governance for the LR master data management tool (CBA Central), ensuring governance standards, rules, and practices are consistently applied.
  • Own and oversee the governance framework, including the CBA Lifecycle Process Flow, KPI Matrix, Audit Matrix, and LR Data Dictionary.
  • Lead the implementation of governance processes that maintain data accuracy, consistency, security, and accountability throughout the CBA lifecycle.
  • Act as the primary point of accountability for governance compliance, coordinating with stakeholders to ensure adoption and adherence.
  • Drive audit readiness, oversee governance-related controls, and ensure data trust, security, and compliance.
  • Champion continuous improvement in governance practices, leveraging automation and evolving tools to strengthen reliability and efficiency.
  • Support the development of communication materials that enable understanding of governance and project updates.
  • Contribute to presentations, reports, and intranet content that reinforce governance expectations and project outcomes.
  • Ensure clarity and consistency when sharing governance standards, policy changes, or departmental updates.
  • Support the Labor Relations Department in achieving its strategic objectives.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to team discussions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of five years in executive support, project management, or data governance-related experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership in data governance or master data management initiatives.
  • Outstanding communication skills (oral, written, presentation, listening).
  • Ability to prioritize workload and respond quickly to time-sensitive requests.
  • Able to grow positive working relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders and colleagues at all organization levels.
  • Experience using products including Smartsheet, Excel, Word, and Calendar.
  • Ability to follow oral and written directions and adapt to rapidly changing situations.
