SENIOR DOMAIN ARCHITECT - REMOTE
Salary: $180,000 - $190,000 + bonus eligible (commensurate with experience)

Job Summary
As a Sr. Domain Architect for Foodbuy, you will partner with technology leaders to define and deliver Data, Application and Cloud capabilities that enable our enterprise strategy. You will translate executive vision into a multi-year roadmap, guide cross-functional teams, and evangelize best practices across the organization.

Responsibilities
- Strategy & Roadmap
- Lead the creation and continuous evolution of the Foodbuy domain architecture roadmap, ensuring alignment with Foodbuy’s enterprise goals and priorities.
- Mentorship & Governance
- Mentor junior architects and technical teams; enforce domain best practices, patterns, and standards.
- Technology Evaluation
- Research, evaluate, and pilot emerging technologies (e.g., high transactional processing systems, big data platforms, container orchestration, AI/ML frameworks), assessing readiness and business impact.
- Sector Collaboration
- Serve as the primary architect liaison for Foodbuy - ensuring domain consistency across projects.
- Modernization
- Lead the migration of legacy systems to modern, cloud-enabled solutions, ensuring minimal disruption and alignment with architecture standards.
- Cloud Topology Design
- Design and implement effective cloud-enabled topologies that optimize performance, scalability, resilience, and cost efficiency across public, private, and hybrid environments.
- Enterprise Architecture Collaboration
- Collaborate closely with the Enterprise Architecture group to ensure adherence to architecture standards and practices.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years of architecture experience, including leadership of domain-level initiatives.
- Deep expertise in modern technologies (e.g., API architecture, cloud-native patterns, containerization, AI/ML).
- Demonstrated success managing large-scale architecture transformations.
- Hands-on technical ability to design, prototype, and implement domain-specific solutions.
- Demonstrates deep expertise in C#, Python, Angular, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL, with experience applying these technologies in enterprise architecture initiatives.
Preferred
- Master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
- Track record rolling out microservices at enterprise scale.
- Professional certification(s) (e.g., TOGAF, AWS Solution Architect).
