SENIOR MANAGER OF TECHNICAL PROGRAM MANAGEMENT-(HYBRID, CHARLOTTE)

Job Summary
The Senior Manager, Technical Program Management (TPM) will lead complex enterprise programs that align business priorities, product strategy, and technology delivery across the Foodbuy ecosystem.
The ideal candidate is a strong technology and people leader with experience managing both large-scale enterprise programs and high-performing TPM teams across product, engineering, supply chain, procurement, and business operations environments.
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Program Leadership
- Lead large-scale, cross-functional technology programs supporting Foodbuy business capabilities
- Drive end-to-end execution from intake and planning through delivery and operational transition
- Establish program structures, governance processes, milestones, and delivery cadences
- Ensure alignment between business objectives, product roadmaps, and engineering execution
Delivery Governance & Execution Excellence
- Build and mature scalable TPM governance practices across initiatives and teams
- Drive execution rigor through status reviews, milestone tracking, and delivery reporting
- Maintain RAID logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies)
- Improve delivery predictability, transparency, and accountability
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Coordinate across Product, Engineering, Infrastructure, Architecture, Security, Data, and Operations teams
- Manage cross-team dependencies and integration sequencing
- Facilitate decision-making and issue resolution
- Escalate delivery risks and blockers proactively
Intake, Prioritization & Roadmap Alignment
- Support demand intake and initiative prioritization processes
- Partner with Product and Business leaders to align roadmap priorities with organizational capacity
- Drive roadmap sequencing and dependency management
- Support quarterly and annual planning cycles
People Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Technical Program Managers supporting strategic Foodbuy and Compass Technology initiatives
- Establish clear goals, performance expectations, and development plans for TPM team members
- Provide coaching on program execution, stakeholder management, risk mitigation, and delivery governance best practices
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, operational excellence, and continuous improvement
- Support career growth through mentoring, skill development, and leadership opportunities
- Drive consistency in TPM operating standards, reporting, governance, and delivery methodologies across programs
- Partner with Product, Engineering, and Technology leadership to ensure TPM resource alignment against strategic priorities and organizational capacity
- Build and scale TPM organizational capabilities to support evolving portfolio and transformation needs
Qualifications
- 12+ years of experience in Technical Program Management, or related technology leadership roles
- 5+ years of people leadership experience managing TPMs, program managers, or cross-functional delivery organizations
- Experience leading enterprise-scale technology initiatives in complex operational environments
- Strong understanding of Agile delivery methodologies, SDLC, release management, and portfolio governance
- Experience managing cross-functional dependencies across business and technology teams
- Strong communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting procurement, supply chain, sourcing, food service, or enterprise operations domains
- Experience with digital transformation or modernization initiatives
- Familiarity with ADO, Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow and related delivery tooling
- Experience with intake, prioritization, and roadmap planning frameworks
- PMP, PgMP, Scrum, SAFe, or Agile certifications preferred
