Job Summary:
The Senior Director, Strategic Programs & Digital Transformation serves as the operational engine, strategic integrator, and execution leader for the MarComms organization. As a trusted partner to the EVP, this role translates vision into action, strategy into results, and ideas into business outcomes.
This leader oversees strategic programs, project governance, digital platforms, e-commerce initiatives, and cross-functional execution efforts. The role serves as the connective tissue across Marketing, Communications, Digital, Insights, Innovation, Operations, Finance, Technology, Retail, and Business Development to ensure priorities remain aligned and initiatives deliver measurable results.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Operations & Executive Support
- Partner with the EVP and leadership team to translate priorities into actionable plans, milestones, and outcomes.
- Lead project intake, prioritization, governance, and portfolio management.
- Develop executive updates, dashboards, business reviews, and performance reporting.
- Support annual planning, KPI management, and organizational effectiveness initiatives.
Enterprise Programs & Transformation
- Establish and lead PMO-style operating rhythms across MarComms.
- Manage cross-functional initiatives from concept through execution.
- Define scope, timelines, dependencies, risks, and success measures.
- Drive business transformation, process improvement, and change management efforts.
Digital Platforms & Product Management
- Lead strategic management of the Dine on Campus and Shop on Campus ecosystem.
- Manage platform roadmaps, feature prioritization, vendor requirements, launches, and enhancements.
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders on platform integrations and future digital capabilities.
- Evaluate user experience, functionality, adoption, and performance opportunities.
Digital Growth & Analytics
- Identify opportunities to improve conversion, engagement, and digital performance.
- Lead analytics, reporting, dashboards, and measurement strategies.
- Advance growth opportunities including personalization, automation, subscriptions, chatbot capabilities, and digital marketing.
Vendor & Agency Governance
- Lead future-state agency selection and digital platform evaluations.
- Coordinate with IT, Legal, Finance, Procurement, Risk, and Operations partners.
- Ensure governance, compliance, scalability, and business continuity requirements are met.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Technology, Project Management, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in strategic operations, digital platforms, project management, product management, e-commerce, business transformation, or related disciplines.
- Experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives with multiple stakeholders and executive visibility.
- Strong program and project management capabilities.
- Experience translating business needs into roadmaps, requirements, and measurable outcomes.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to connect strategy, technology, operations, finance, and customer experience.
- Experience developing executive presentations, dashboards, reporting, and business reviews.
- Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to manage highly confidential strategic, financial, organizational, employee, and client information with discretion and sound judgment.
- Ability to influence across teams without direct authority.
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP, Agile, Scrum, Lean, Six Sigma, or related certification.
- Experience managing websites, mobile applications, digital products, or e-commerce platforms.
- Experience with roadmaps, requirements gathering, UAT, release planning, and vendor management.
- Experience with digital analytics, performance measurement, and customer journey optimization.
- Experience working within hospitality, retail, higher education, consumer brands, entertainment, technology, or consulting environments.
