Job Summary

The Systems Administrator is responsible for providing Application, Security, and User support for the Compass Group Production Infrastructure. Treating ALL information stored by any person or system as confidential, the Systems Administrator is a member of the Infrastructure & Operations group, collaborating with key business partners to meet the needs of Compass Group. These partners include, but are not limited to, the Technology Service Center (Help Desk), Systems Security, Network Engineering, and Business Systems.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience 2+ years of experience with Medium-to-Large Windows AD 2016/2019 Networks Desired experience with the following: - Microsoft Entra and Local Active Directory - Microsoft
  • M365 Platform - Microsoft SharePoint/DFS & Print Server - DNS Management: MS DNS/AWS Route 53 - PowerShell Scripting - Networking Core Troubleshooting - Amazon AWS Experience:
  • EC2/Security Groups - Microsoft Intune - Microsoft Exchange 2016 a plus

 

Education

Preferred: - Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience Desired: - Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) - Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) - AWS Cloud Practitioner, AWS Solutions Architect (Associate) - COMPTIA Net+ - COMPTIA Security+

Interpersonal

Job Functions

Production System Support 

  •  Utilize the Remedy-Helix ticketing system to identify, manage, and resolve user requests within defined service level agreements (SLAs) -
  • Provide Tier 2 support for the Technology Service Center, Field, and Sector IT staff -
  • Participate in a scheduled, afterhours, On-Call rotation - Within Service Level Agreement (SLA) guidelines defined by the organization must Investigate, Report, and Resolve File and folder access Printer Queue’s Email and Mailbox access Office 365 access and permissions Email delivery problems Spam and phishing attacks Internet and website access Malware and malicious activity 

 

Planning and Organization 

  • Manage assigned tasks and complete them within established timelines - Demonstrate attention to detail - Create, update, archive all relevant documentation to the team wiki when information changes -
  • Identify potential business impacts when planning changes to production systems 

 

Partnerships 

  • Establish working relationships with internal and external partners to help with problem solving, understanding future goals, and to facilitate learning - Mentor associates by identifying opportunities for learning, coaching those associates, and setting them up for success 

 

Communications 

  • Communicate clearly to technical and non-technical users - Accurately document team processes and supported applications 
  • Engage in team discussions, planning, and project meetings - Provide input on the development of uniform operating procedures
