About the Program

Join our internship program that is designed to provide hands-on experience in both hospitality and business operations. Over the course of the term, you’ll work alongside experienced mentors in culinary services, catering, marketing, and operations—building the skills to launch your career in hospitality or business management. As a sustainability intern, the focus is on environmental issues to help improve sustainability practices and meet our sustainability goals and foster positive, lasting change.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting sustainability assessments to identify areas for improvement
  • Helping to set, develop and implement sustainability goals
  • Assisting with staff training sessions and workshops centered on sustainable practices
  • Monitoring and evaluating the performance of sustainability initiatives

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in Hospitality, Business, Culinary, Marketing, or related program
  • Strong communication & interpersonal skills
  • Eager to learn and rotate across departments
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; hospitality/POS systems a plus
  • Flexible schedule; some evening/weekend availability may be required

 

This is a paid intern position; however, it is not eligible for paid time off (PTO) or benefits such as medical, dental, vision, etc.

Because this position requires you to perform services in an educational facility, there may be periods when the Company does not require you to perform work (such as winter and summer breaks when food service needs decline or cease). Any such periods during which you do not perform work on the Company’s behalf may be unpaid and deemed a temporary layoff. However, depending on business needs, you may be required to work year-round, potentially at a different location during break periods.  Business needs may vary from year to year.
