Salary: $80,000 - $85000 /year

Job Summary

Responsible for the management and performance of the Event Services team across the Puget Sound campus. This role ensures seamless execution of events, fosters team development, and maintains high standards of customer service and operational excellence. 

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and oversee the daily operations of the Event Services team.
  • Manage associate schedules, attendance and payroll in accordance to the organization’s policies and applicable laws
  • Establish training programs and personal development plans to promote growth, evaluate performance and manage performance deficiencies.
  • Review, develop and recommend policies, procedures and services by analyzing business needs and goals at a daily operational level

 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Liaison with Eventions teams, facilities, and janitorial to ensure streamlined communication and support of events
  • Oversee and maintain operating supplies ordering and inventory
  • Provide seamless management of events and customer service
  • Control issues as they arise through proper administrative channels and escalation path
  • Possess ability to remain calm and follow protocol during emergency situations.
  • Stay informed of industry standards and trends, applying when appropriate.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, peers and leadership
  • Provide accurate reporting of event services revenue and metrics as needed to support business goals and objectives
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Education and Experience:

  • College degree preferred.
  • 3–5 years of supervisory or management experience in a hospitality environment.
  • Strong leadership and team development skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to last-minute changes
  • Strategic thinker with sound judgment and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Basic math skills and Excel knowledge for reporting and budgeting
