Job Summary
This role is a highly skilled Senior Infrastructure Engineer with deep expertise in Point of Sales systems and network infrastructure to lead the design, deployment, and optimization of technology for new site launches and retrofit projects. This role ensures seamless integration of POS solutions with robust, secure, and scalable network environments, enabling exceptional operational performance across all locations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: (other duties may be assigned)
- Project Leadership: Plan, coordinate, and execute IT infrastructure deployments for new store openings and retrofit initiatives, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
- POS Systems Expertise: Configure, integrate, and troubleshooting POS hardware, software, and peripherals, ensuring compatibility with enterprise systems.
- Network Engineering: Design and implement LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi solutions, including switches, routers, firewalls, and access points, with a focus on security, redundancy, and scalability.
- Site Readiness: Conduct site surveys, assess infrastructure requirements, and prepare detailed implementation plans.
- Collaboration: Partner with construction, operations, and vendor teams to align IT deliverables with project timelines.
- Monitoring & Optimization: Implement proactive monitoring tools and processes to ensure system health, performance, and security.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate network diagrams, configuration records, and deployment checklists.
- Support & Troubleshooting: Provide Tier 3 escalation support for POS and network-related issues.
The following are desired skillset (preferred but not required)
- Experience with cloud-managed networking solutions.
- Knowledge of VoIP, CCTV, and digital signage integration.
- Scripting or automation skills for deployment efficiency.
- Perform additional job duties as assigned by Sr Director of Information Systems.
TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 7+ years in IT infrastructure engineering.
- Strong background in network design, configuration, and troubleshooting (Cisco, Aruba, Meraki, or similar).
- Experience with retail or hospitality technology rollouts.
- Familiarity with PCI-DSS compliance and secure payment processing standards.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience working with non-technical users while maintaining a strong customer focus
- Possess a hardworking, can-do attitude
- Experience working independently within a team environment
- Ability to multi-task, stay organized, and possess a strong attention to detail
- Comfortable using the English language for verbal and written communication
- Experience in the hospitality industry a plus
