Position Title: JANITOR SUPERVISOR - SAN FERNANDO, CA 

Pay Grade: 7 

Reports To:  Sanitation Manager

Salary:  $26 - $30 an hour

Essential Job Functions and Requirements:

  • Ensure full compliance with government food safety regulations and maintain top food safety ratings.

  • Develop, implement, and supervise SSOPs, GMPs, MSC procedures, and company policies.

  • Complete, verify, and document master sanitation schedules and cleaning activities.

  • Conduct weekly chemical inventories and monitor supply levels; notify management of shortages.

  • Perform weekly chemical inventory to ensure accurate stock levels.

  • Supervise, train, and coach sanitation staff, enforcing standards and corrective actions as needed.

  • Interact effectively with USDA officials and management to address issues and implement rapid corrective actions.

  • Monitor daily operations to verify compliance with food safety and quality objectives.

  • Identify deviations, take corrective action, and maintain accurate, timely records.

  • Maintain and recommend improvements to workplace safety programs and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge and experience in food microbiology, food safety, sanitation systems
  • Ability to communicate in Spanish & English desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills with a demonstrated ability to effectively work with all managerial and employee levels.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills with the ability to effectively collaborate and use creative and innovative approaches to resolve complex problems.
  • Interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of company procedures and expectations, with consistent enforcement with staff.
  • Knowledge of Sanitation, organic, gluten free, and allergen requirements.
  • Knowledge of chemical safety and food industry sanitation procedures.
  • FDA/USDA compliance experience.
  • Computer skills, to include Office & Excel.
