Job Summary
The Café Manager at eBay is a dynamic leadership role ideal for an energetic, solutions-driven professional. Operating on a Monday to Friday schedule, this position is responsible for the overall management of dining services—ensuring high-quality food, exceptional customer service, and efficient operations across all service areas, including retail, catering, and café environments. The Manager leads a dedicated team while upholding food safety, sanitation, and service standards, maintaining strong client relationships, and meeting financial and operational goals.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and supervise a team of salaried managers and hourly associates

Oversee daily operations including staffing, scheduling, training, performance management, and conflict resolution

Ensure food quality, presentation, and safety meet company and regulatory standards (HACCP, OSHA)

Prepare and manage the annual budget; monitor financial performance including cost controls and P&L
-
Use company systems to manage reporting (e.g., inventory, payroll, production records, cash handling)

Support and oversee food preparation and service, ensuring consistency and efficiency

Foster a positive dining experience for clients and customers

Perform other duties as needed
Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Food Services Management, Hospitality, or a related field (or Associate’s with 4+ years relevant experience)

5–7 years of direct foodservice management experience, preferably in contract-managed or retail dining services

Strong knowledge of food trends, sanitation, cost control, and catering operations

Proven experience managing budgets, inventory, and purchasing

Excellent leadership and coaching skills with the ability to build high-performing teams

Effective communication skills at all organizational levels

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software

ServSafe® Certification required
