Salary: $115,000 - $135,000

Job Summary
We are excited to add to our leadership staff at San Jose University in California.
This university has record enrollment and amazing culinary offerings. We focus on innovation, flavorful and healthy menus with a strong sense of community.
Our Director of Operations manages the food service operations including catering, dining halls, retail locations, and concessions while maintaining established costs and quality standards so as to ensure superior service and maximize profits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach, and develop FOH and BOH staff.
- Supervise the hiring, training, and development of staff to uphold excellence in service and food quality.
- Maintains and implements standards of quality in all areas of the foodservice operation.
- Ensures compliance with all regional and account programs and policies.
- Ensure compliance with all quality and food safety standards to guarantee the health and safety of our customers.
- Champion strong client relationships to align our programs with their objectives, driving happiness and retention.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the efficient functioning of dining operations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- BS degree preferred but not required.
- Five plus years of foodservice management experience required
- Higher Education experience in board and retail operations preferred
- Knowledge of P&L accountability and contract-managed service experience preferred
- Strong leadership and communication skills
