Job Summary
The Micro Market & Vending Manager is responsible for the performance, profitability, and daily management of the company's micro market and vending business. This role oversees merchandising, product assortment, inventory accountability, equipment installations and refreshes, compliance audits, and operational improvement initiatives.
The ideal candidate combines strong business acumen, analytical skills, and operational leadership to drive sales growth, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence. This position partners closely with Operations, Sales, Purchasing, Logistics, Service, and Customer Support teams to support business objectives and growth initiatives.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Oversee micro market and vending operations to ensure efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
• Develop and execute merchandising strategies to maximize sales and enhance customer experience.
• Create, maintain, and implement planograms to optimize product placement and inventory performance.
• Manage product assortment, pricing, promotions, and compliance standards.
• Coordinate equipment installations, relocations, refreshes, replacements, and removals.
• Conduct location audits to ensure merchandising standards, inventory accuracy, and operational consistency.
• Monitor inventory accountability and minimize shrinkage while maximizing product availability.
• Analyze sales, product performance, and operational data to identify trends and opportunities.
• Implement action plans to improve revenue, profitability, and operational performance.
• Partner with cross-functional teams on new account launches, market expansions, and operational initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, customer requirements, and applicable regulations.
• Resolve operational issues and recommend process improvements.
• Prepare performance reports and business recommendations for leadership.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and best practice implementation across locations.
Qualifications:
• 3–5 years of experience in operations management, retail merchandising, vending, micro markets, food service, or a related industry preferred.
• Knowledge of merchandising, planograms, inventory management, and product compliance.
• Experience using sales and operational data to drive business decisions.
• Strong leadership, organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with vending, micro market, POS, or inventory management systems preferred.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel as needed.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
• Flexibility to support operational needs outside standard business hours when required.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in unattended retail, convenience retail, vending, or food service operations.
• Knowledge of category management and merchandising best practices.
• Experience managing multi-site operations.
• Strong business and financial acumen with a focus on revenue growth, profitability, and operational efficiency.
