Long Description
Summary: Provides support to operations by interpreting policies, procedures and programs to all associates on the phone. Assists field HR with Be Aware report investigations, HR Assessments, account openings/payroll transitions, and other training initiatives as required. Maintains various monthly/quarterly reports to support the business imperatives designed to minimize legal exposure, enhance productivity, performance management, and achieve maximum retention of human capital.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Responds to telephone calls from management or associates on employee relations issues by:
- Interpreting and explaining company policies (e.g. performance management, LOA), procedures, practices, and programs.
- Acting as a resource to diagnose Human Resources needs and problems to recommend solutions that result in the region’s improved performance and retention.
- Keeping Field HR Managers informed of all pertinent HR related matters as appropriate.
2. Assists Field HR Managers with Be Aware reports requiring preliminary investigations into claims of harassment or other company-wide guideline violations; may assist in preliminary EEO investigations as appropriate.
3. Monitors regional wage and salary administration programs to ensure equitable and competitive compensation plans by analyzing quarterly/monthly HRIS reports.
4. Maintains and prepares tracking reports of regional unemployment claims; coordinates the appeal hearings with HR Managers and operations as needed; evaluates accuracy, usefulness, accessibility of reports.
5. Conducts HR Assessments and develops and implements a plan of action to ensure compliance and optimum utilization of HR services by management to improve productivity, efficiency and effectiveness of the company.
6. Assists Field HR Manager with new account openings and/or payroll transitions by co-facilitating welcome meetings or other HR training activity as needed.
7. Assist HR Manager with Compass College sessions by planning and coordinating targeted locations and facility layout, and to co-facilitate designated modules as appropriate.
8. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, equivalent degree or equivalent related experience. One (1) to three (3) years experience as an HR representative/generalist in a small company or supporting a line Business Unit.
