SPORTS ARENA SKYBOX SHIFT LEAD

Job Summary

Summary: WE ARE SEEKING A DYNAMIC AND EXPERIENCED HOSPITALITY SHIFT LEAD TO OVERSEE SERVICE OPERATIONS DURING UTAH JAZZ BASKETBALL GAMES AT THE DELTA CENTER. THE SHIFT LEAD WILL COORDINATE FRON-OF-HOUSE ACTIVITIES, SUPERVISE STAFF, ENSURE EXCELLENT GUEST EXPERIENCES, AND UPHOLD THE HIGHTEST STANDARDS OF SERVICE, SAFETY, AND PROFESSIONALISM. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE IS A CONFIDENT LEADER WHITH STRONG ORGANIZATIONAL SKILLS, A PASSION FOR SPORTS AND HOSPITALITY, AND THE ABILITY TO THRIVEIN A FAST-PACED ENVIRONMENT. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

CORE DUTIES:

• First point of contact for Attendants and Runners. 
• Make rounds to monitor Skybox readiness and cleanliness. 
• Support team with guest needs, refills, and escalations.
• Communicate setup needs, product shortages, or service issues. 

PRE-SHIFT:

• Check all BEO's and confirm all necessary product is on-hand. 
• Light chafers and begin warming 1 hour before doors open to guests. 
• Temp all food products and ensure nothing is missing. 
• Assist Attendants and Runners with dropping food no more than 15 minutes before doors open to guests. 

IN-SERVICE:

• Monitor Skyboxes and tem for quality and timelines. 
• Resolve questions from Attendants and Runners. 
• Assist in product restocking or issue resolution.
• Float between Skyboxes and pantry areas to monitor flow.

PSOT-SHIFT:

• Final walkthrough of Skyboxes and pantry to ensure cleanliness and next-event preparation.
• Post-event debriefs with manager to note any staffing or product issue.
• Submit product restock order to manager.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Previous supervisory or leadership experience in hospitality preferred. 
• Strong knowledge of food and beverage service standards.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. 
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a high-energy environment. 
• Knowledge of safety and sanitation protocols.
• Must be 21 years of age or older. 
• Flexible availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, based around Utah Jazz Home Games. 
• Ability to stand for extended pariods and lift moderate weight. 
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle mulitiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Professional apprearance and demeanor.
• Must obtain valid Utah Food Handlers Permit.
• Must obtain valid Utah On-Premise Alcohol Certificate.
