Help lead a brand-new, exciting dessert experience at the Delta Center!
As a Dessert Shop Supervisor, you will help oversee all-inclusive dessert shop spaces featuring soft serve ice cream, cakes, desserts, and other fun sweet treats throughout the season. This role is perfect for someone who is engaging, personable, organized, and excited to lead a team in a fun guest-facing environment.
Cleanliness, customer service, food safety, teamwork, and a warm personality are at the heart of these spaces.
Key Responsibilities
- Model and promote Levy’s Family Values: Nice, Innovative, Passionate, and Inclusive.
- Lead and support Dessert Shop Attendants during event setup, service, and breakdown.
- Help create a friendly, welcoming, and engaging dessert shop experience for guests.
- Set up, stock, maintain, and break down dessert shop areas before, during, and after events.
- Ensure soft serve ice cream, cakes, desserts, toppings, and other featured items are served according to Levy standards.
- Monitor dessert displays to ensure they remain clean, organized, stocked, fresh, and visually appealing.
- Assign duties and provide direction to Dessert Shop team members throughout each event.
- Ensure team members follow food-safety, sanitation, hygiene, customer-service, and workplace-safety expectations.
- Monitor product quality, freshness, temperatures, presentation, and product levels throughout service.
- Restock desserts, toppings, cones, cups, utensils, napkins, and other supplies as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness of counters, machines, displays, equipment, storage areas, and guest-facing spaces.
- Complete nightly inventory, product counts, waste tracking, and inventory organization.
- Communicate product needs, guest feedback, staffing concerns, equipment issues, or safety concerns to management.
- Support new dessert ideas and seasonal offerings as the program grows.
- Complete additional duties as assigned based on event and department needs.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Previous food service, dessert shop, concessions, hospitality, premium service, or supervisory experience is preferred.
- Friendly, engaging, personable, and comfortable interacting with guests.
- Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lead team members in a fast-paced, guest-facing event environment.
- Ability to stay calm, professional, and solutions-focused under pressure.
- Strong attention to cleanliness, presentation, product quality, and guest service.
- Ability to follow and enforce food-safety, sanitation, hygiene, and safe food-handling standards.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional.
- Ability to stand, walk, lift, carry, bend, reach, stock, clean, and move for extended periods.
- Ability to work a flexible event-based schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, Utah Jazz games, Utah Mammoth games, concerts, and other Delta Center events.
- Must obtain and maintain a valid Utah Food Handler Permit.
- Must obtain and maintain a valid Utah On-Premise Alcohol Certificate if required by assignment.
