Bon Appetit Hospitality & Event Management Internship:

OVERVIEW: The Bon Appetit Hospitality & Event Management Internship Program is a paid program that gives hospitality students the opportunity to work in a dynamic and inspirational hospitality culture. Working closely with hospitality mentors, Bon Appetit interns have an inside look at what goes on behind the scenes at a leading food service & hospitality organization.Bon Appétit is an on-site restaurant company offering full foodservice management to corporations, universities, museums and specialty venues. Based in Palo Alto, California, Bon Appétit operates more than 1,000 cafes in 33 states for dozens of marquee clients.

HOSPITALITY INTERNS WILL:

• Rotate through front-of-house roles in the café, catering, and coffee shop.
• Provide consistently friendly and courteous service to guests.
• Support catering events by setting up, arranging buffet stations, ensuring customer satisfaction, and managing cleanup.
• Assist with marketing tasks, including signage, seasonal decorations, and food holiday communications.
• Adhere to customer service standards.
• Review catering and front-of-house standards.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and client expectations.

Interns should expect to contribute individually and as a team member to support Food service/ Hospitality Services and work towards goals and objectives assigned by an experienced manager.

Hospitality Internship candidates must meet the criteria below to be eligible for the Hospitality Internship Experience Program:

1. Applicants must be currently enrolled in a college or professional hospitality program
2. Meet university’s GPA requirement for internship
3. Successful completion of relevant Intro to Hospitality coursework
4. Must be available to work 20 - 40 hours a week based on business needs & internship requirements
5. College credit is not required, but we will provide appropriate documentation if necessary.

Hospitality Internship Supplemental Experiences:

In addition to getting daily hands-on experience, Interns have the opportunity to meet with subject matter experts including the diversity & inclusion, HR, marketing, safety & sanitation, wellness & sustainability and finance teams.
