Salary: $72,000 - $80,000

Job Summary
Working as a Marketing Manager for Cal Poly Campus Dining will give you the opportunity to lead creative marketing initiatives that enhance the campus dining experience and build engagement across the university community. The purpose of this role is to oversee brand management, creative development, social media strategy, event marketing, and day-to-day marketing operations while ensuring all communications align with Campus Dining's goals, brand standards, and business priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leads creative execution and brand management across all Campus Dining locations and marketing channels
- Develops and oversees graphic design, multimedia content, signage, menus, promotional materials, and marketing campaigns
- Provides strategic oversight for social media content, campaigns, photography, and video production
- Manages digital signage, website updates, and marketing production projects from concept through completion
- Coordinates with external vendors, printers, and installers to ensure timely and high-quality project delivery
- Supports the planning and execution of campus events, promotions, activations, and dining plan campaigns
- Supervises student marketing interns, providing coaching, direction, and professional development
- Manages multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborates with campus partners and operational teams to support business objectives and student engagement
- Serves as the acting marketing department lead in the absence of the District Marketing Director
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Advertising, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- Experience in marketing, brand management, graphic design, creative services, or related disciplines
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, including InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
- Experience managing creative projects from concept through execution
- Knowledge of social media marketing, content creation, photography, and video production
- Experience supervising interns, staff, or creative contributors
- Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Experience in higher education, hospitality, foodservice, or multi-unit operations preferred
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends for major events and campus activities as needed
