As a Pastry Supervisor, you will support the Culinary and Premium teams by overseeing pastry and dessert preparation, presentation, setup, service, and breakdown for events. This position helps ensure desserts, pastries, baked goods, and specialty items are prepared to Levy standards, beautifully presented, properly stocked, and served safely throughout each event.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and support pastry team members during preparation, setup, service, and breakdown.
- Prepare, finish, plate, garnish, and present pastries, desserts, baked goods, and specialty items according to Levy standards.
- Ensure dessert displays, premium stations, buffets, and service areas are clean, stocked, organized, and visually appealing.
- Monitor product quality, freshness, presentation, portioning, labeling, rotation, and temperatures throughout events.
- Review production needs, event menus, par levels, and service expectations before each event.
- Assign tasks and provide direction to pastry attendants, cooks, or support staff as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness of pastry work areas, equipment, displays, storage areas, and guest-facing spaces.
- Follow and enforce food-safety, sanitation, hygiene, allergen awareness, and workplace-safety procedures.
- Properly handle, store, label, rotate, and secure pastry products, ingredients, supplies, and equipment.
- Communicate product needs, guest feedback, menu concerns, equipment issues, or safety concerns to Culinary leadership.
- Assist with product counts, waste tracking, inventory organization, and month-end inventory as assigned.
- Support new dessert ideas, seasonal offerings, and creative presentation opportunities.
- Complete additional duties as assigned based on event and department needs.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Previous pastry, baking, culinary, dessert production, hospitality, or supervisory experience is preferred.
- Friendly, professional, and team-focused attitude.
- Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lead team members in a fast-paced event environment.
- Knowledge of pastry preparation, dessert presentation, portion control, food safety, and sanitation standards is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, quality, cleanliness, and presentation.
- Ability to follow recipes, production sheets, timelines, and service standards.
- Ability to stay calm, professional, and solutions-focused under pressure.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to take direction from Culinary leadership.
- Ability to stand, walk, lift, carry, bend, reach, stock, clean, and move for extended periods.
- Ability to work a flexible event-based schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, RSL matches, Utah Royals matches, concerts, and private events.
- Must obtain and maintain a valid Utah Food Handler Permit or Food Safety Manager Certificate, if required by role.
