Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and entrepreneurial Sous Chef to support culinary operations within a high-volume commissary setting serving a multi-unit hot food program for Amazon. Based in Commissary Operations and working a Monday–Friday schedule with alternating AM and MID shifts, this role supports the Executive Chef in overseeing food production, menu development, and staff supervision. The Sous Chef is instrumental in maintaining culinary excellence, driving operational efficiency, and ensuring consistent food quality and safety across all units.
Key Responsibilities:

Support the Executive Chef in managing food and labor costs and maintaining budget compliance

Assist with planning, developing, and executing menus and daily specials

Lead the production and execution of catering and large-scale foodservice events

Implement and oversee new culinary programs in partnership with the company's marketing and culinary teams

Ensure quality, consistency, and presentation of all menu items across commissary operations
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Associate’s degree in culinary arts or equivalent professional experience

Progressive culinary or kitchen management experience preferred

Strong background in catering and high-volume foodservice operations

Familiarity with commissary or batch cooking operations is a plus

Expertise in current culinary trends, food presentation, and cost control

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, and internet tools

ServSafe certification preferred

Willingness to participate in client satisfaction and quality assurance programs
