Job Summary
The Staffing Manager oversees and executes staffing operations, with a primary focus on Concessions and NPO scheduling, staffing coordination, credentialing, training, and recruitment. This role builds on staffing responsibilities by taking ownership of critical workforce processes and ensuring readiness for event operations.
The Staffing Manager operates with increased independence and accountability, supporting hiring efforts, supporting credential requirements, and continuing development in temporary workforce planning and strategy.
Key Responsibilities
• Support recruitment, Own staffing plans within departments in partnership with managers.
• Coordinate with the Concessions Department to identify staffing needs and candidate selection criteria.
• Sourcing, screening candidates, scheduling interviews.
• Partner with HR to, Plan, organizing, marketing and managing career fairs.
• Monitor job offers, background check status, assist with onboarding process.
• Tracking candidates through talent pipeline, follow up, push through and disposition candidates.
• Coordinate with HR on to scheduling orientation dates for physical paperwork.
• Develop partnerships with local Universities and High Schools for recruitment, onsite job fairs and job boards.
• Communicate with departments on candidates onboarding status.
• Utilize recruiting marketing tools such as Facebook Advertisement, LinkedIn, Craigslist etc.
• Reporting current status staffing levels utilizing the campus staffing matrix.
• Coordinate training dates and rental locations.
• Partner with HR team regarding New Hire Orientations
• Partner with HR team regarding Rehire Orientations
• Leverage SmartSheets to bridge the gap between HR and Departments.
• Identify ways to automate and eliminate redundancies and administrative items.
Non for Profit
• Sourcing, marketing, recruiting, onboarding and compliance of new and existing NPO groups.
• Manage event day NPO check-in, including set-up and breakdown of volunteer check-in area.
• Ensure volunteers complete required training prior to fundraising date (i.e. Creating Legends, Volunteer Handbook.
• Ensure uniform standards are followed by managing the distribution and return of uniforms.
• Distribute and communicate event-day details, including changes in policies or events.
• Partner with Concessions to communicate NPO scheduled groups and group size.
Temp Agency Management
• Monitor number of temps entering the stadium, ensuring not to exceed current labor orders.
• Assist Managing event day temp check-in and sign out, track temp assignments by department.
• Partner with Concessions to identify if temp support is needed and at what levels.
• Assist in process of reviewing invoices and dispute discrepancies
• Actively monitor agency performance on quality, show rates, fill rates and ensure temps follow uniform guidelines.
Job Requirements
• 2+ years of experience in staffing, recruiting, scheduling, or operations
• Experience in high-volume or event-based environments preferred
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Strong scheduling, coordination, and organizational skills
• High Level of Computer Literacy and proficiency.
• Ability to manage complex credentialing processes with accuracy
• Ability to make timely decisions in dynamic environments
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• High level of accountability and ownership
• Capable of walking and standing for long periods of time, especially on event days.
• Work in extreme weather conditions through the workday.
• Maintain flexible availability including evenings, weekends, venue event days, and holidays.
• Travel: Ability and willingness to travel as required.
