Position Overview:
The Marketing Intern will support the promotion of campus dining services and student engagement initiatives at American International College. This hands-on role offers the opportunity to contribute to real-time marketing campaigns, digital content creation, event promotion, and brand strategy while gaining experience in a dynamic collegiate environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and execution of marketing strategies for AIC’s dining operations and student-centered events.
- Create engaging content for social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, etc.) to promote daily menus, special events, sustainability efforts, and student feedback initiatives.
- Help design and distribute flyers, digital signage, and promotional materials across campus.
- Collect student feedback through surveys, tabling, and online platforms to improve service offerings.
- Coordinate and help manage on-campus promotional events such as themed food days, giveaways, and chef demos.
- Maintain and update information on dining web pages and internal communications.
- Track key performance indicators like engagement, participation, and feedback responses.
- Collaborate with the campus dining team, student organizations, and other AIC departments to support cross-promotions.
Qualifications:
- Major in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with social media platforms and basic content creation tools (Canva, Adobe Express, etc.)
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Friendly, proactive, and comfortable engaging with diverse student audiences
Job Summary
This position is paid, but not eligible for benefits such as medical, relocation, or housing.
Because this position requires you to perform services in an educational facility, there may be periods when the Company does not require you to perform work (such as winter and summer breaks when food service needs decline or cease). Any such periods during which you do not perform work on the Company’s behalf may be unpaid and deemed a temporary layoff. However, depending on business needs, you may be required to work year-round, potentially at a different location during break periods. Business needs may vary from year to year.
