Job Summary

 

We are looking for a Cafe Manager to join our awesome team with Compass at Google!

 

The Cafe Manager is a leader responsible for the entire cafe experience, from innovative hospitality to operational excellence. Reporting to the Multi-Unit General Manager, you will leverage your strong hospitality and operational skills to partner with key stakeholders across the account to deliver the best food service experience to our guests. You will champion our culture of workplace health and safety every day. As the Cafe Manager, you will set the example for responsible practices, ensuring the well-being of our employees, the operation, and yourself.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive and enhance a culture of food and workplace safety, including allergen management.

  • Design, manage, and own the overall cafe experience, not just the food offerings.

  • Set and maintain a high standard of hospitality that is friendly and truly engaging for our guests.

  • Mentor and develop your team, fostering a culture of professional growth and continuous improvement.

  • Monitor and manage all financial and budget responsibilities, including inventory and labor management.

  • Collaborate closely with the culinary team to ensure seamless service and operational excellence.

  • Work with diverse perspectives and experiences to integrate them into the cafe's culture.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Value-driven, inspirational leadership invoked by a deep sense of purpose and responsibility.

  • Minimum of 2-4 years of cafe, restaurant, hotel, or stadium management experience.

  • Strong passion for great food and hospitality.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Proficiency in computer and technical skills, with a working knowledge of Google Suite.

  • Experience managing in a Union environment is a plus.

  • ServSafe Certification a plus.

 

While this schedule and location are currently projected, they are flexible and may be adjusted to meet evolving business demands, including coverage needs.
