Job Summary:
We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Catering Events Manager to join our outstanding Bon Appetit at Google team!
As the Catering Events Manager, you will hold primary responsibility for the seamless service and exceptional experience of every event. You will meticulously oversee the end-to-end execution of all event and operational tasks, ensuring both culinary and hospitality excellence, alongside robust employee and food safety standards. This pivotal position reports directly to the Senior Catering Events Manager and will leverage your strong communication, refined hospitality, and expert event planning skills to forge impactful partnerships with key stakeholders. These include our valued client, culinary leadership, marketing teams, event concept development, procurement, risk management, operations, and people teams, all working to exceed client expectations and significantly enhance the user experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Proactively manage and enforce rigorous workplace and food safety standards across all catering operations, including meticulous allergen management.

Strategically design, meticulously manage, and take full ownership of the overall event experience, extending beyond mere food offerings to encompass seamless logistics and presentation.

Ensure that all daily catering orders are accurately processed and flawlessly fulfilled to meet our partner's stringent expectations and sector guidelines.

Develop and execute specialty menus and unique event concepts tailored to client needs, specific budgets, and unit guidelines.

Actively train, develop, and strategically schedule catering associates, playing a hands-on role in enhancing their skills in service techniques, menu presentation, merchandising, and adherence to company policies and procedures.

Conduct all employee reviews, coaching sessions, and actions with professionalism and in a timely manner.
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Demonstrated ability to drive and enhance a robust culture of Food and Workplace Safety.

Bachelor's degree is preferred, or equivalent substantial professional experience.

A minimum of 2-4 years of proven similar work experience in catering operations or a similar high-volume, quality-driven food service establishment.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, capable of inspiring teams and confidently interacting with clients.

Proficient in computer and technical skills, with a strong working knowledge of Google Suite tools (Docs, Sheets, Slides), Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for event planning and reporting.

Managing in a Union Environment is a plus.

ServSafe Certification a plus.
