Director of Dining Services III - Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology

Lead and manage salaried managers and hourly team members within the Dining Services department.

Direct the overall operation, coordination, and performance of the dining services account.

Recruit, hire, train, develop, and evaluate staff performance while fostering a positive work environment.

Collaborate closely with the Catering Manager and Culinary Team to ensure seamless execution of catering services, menu planning, and special events.

Coordinate operational and culinary resources to deliver exceptional guest experiences for on-campus and special event functions.

Ensure full compliance with all health department regulations, food safety standards, company policies, and applicable local, state, and federal requirements.

Utilize company systems to complete required operational reports, including inventory, payroll, cash management, production records, and timekeeping.

Oversee food and beverage production and service to ensure a superior customer experience.

Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Bachelor's degree preferred, or an Associate degree with four years of directly related experience.

Five years of foodservice operational management experience, including purchasing and inventory control.

Strong knowledge of foodservice operations, catering trends, food quality standards, sanitation practices, cost controls, and presentation.

Experience managing budgets, P&L accountability, or contract-managed service operations preferred.

Proven leadership, coaching, team-building, and staff development skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

Ability to effectively interact with clients, customers, management, and team members at all levels.

Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and analytical skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, email, internet applications, and other business systems.
-
ServSafe® Certification or an equivalent food safety certification required.
