Job Summary
Chartwells Higher Education is seeking a visionary Director of Dining Services to lead dining operations for a high volume residential dining hall at Cal Maritime. This is your opportunity to shape the dining experience, drive innovation, and leave a lasting impact on campus life.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic Leadership: Direct the day-to-day operations of a high-volume residential dining hall, overseeing managers, supervisors, and food service workers to ensure seamless operations and exceptional service.
Human Resources Management: Conduct HR functions including hiring, training, progressive counseling, and terminations, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment where team members can thrive.
Client and Customer Satisfaction: Maintain client and customer satisfaction for food quality and customer service, exceeding expectations and building strong relationships with stakeholders.
Financial Management: Manage food and labor costs to ensure financial success and sustainability, implementing strategies to drive efficiency and profitability.
Quality Assurance and Sanitation: Ensure adherence to QA and sanitation standards, fostering a safe and hygienic dining environment that prioritizes health and safety.
Menu Development and Innovation: Collaborate with the management team to create nutritious and top-quality food for students, implementing new programs to enhance the dining experience.
Adaptable Support: Embrace flexibility and adaptability, taking on additional duties as needed to support the overall success of the dining operation and contribute to the campus community.
Will be in charge of placing work orders and tracking maintenance requests for the facility
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• BS Hospitality degree preferred
• 3-5 years of relevant experience
• Supervisory, leadership, management and coaching skills
• Good communication skills both written and verbal
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Knowledge of financial, budgetary, accounting and computational practices preferred
