KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic Financial Management: Oversee all financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established procedures.
Action-Oriented Analysis: Analyze financial data to drive informed decision-making, identifying areas for improvement and implementing action plans to enhance financial performance.
Robust Reporting: Prepare comprehensive financial reports for both internal stakeholders and external partners, showcasing the financial health and progress of the institution.
Forecasting and Budgeting: Develop forecasts and budgets, meticulously identifying risks and opportunities to optimize financial outcomes.
Operational Excellence: Implement effective cash handling procedures, conduct reconciliations, and maintain inventory and cost control measures.
Leadership and Collaboration: Participate in management meetings, leveraging your financial expertise to support strategic initiatives and build positive relationships with key stakeholders.
Continuous Improvement: Proactively resolve accounting and reconciliation issues, while driving process enhancements and orchestrating special projects to drive operational efficiency.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent professional experience
- A minimum of two years of corporate accounting experience in a retail industry
- Experience in a POS, cash and credit card environment
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast paced, dynamic work environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient knowledge of Excel required
- Working experience in Microsoft Dynamics GP software a plus
