Job Summary
Location: National Geographic Museum
Description:
- Oversee all banquet and event operations, ensuring seamless execution from setup to breakdown
- Coordinate with clients, event planners, and internal teams to deliver exceptional event experiences
- Manage banquet staff, including scheduling, training, and performance oversight
- Ensure all events meet quality, presentation, and service standards
- Supervise room setup, décor, and food & beverage service to align with event specifications
- Monitor inventory, equipment, and supply levels for banquet operations
- Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations
- Address guest needs and resolve any issues promptly during events
- Collaborate with culinary and operations teams to execute menus and service timelines
- Track labor and operational costs to meet financial goals
Requirements:
- 3–5+ years of experience in banquet, catering, or hospitality management
- Proven experience managing events in a high-volume or upscale environment
- Strong knowledge of food & beverage service, banquet operations, and event coordination
- Experience with scheduling, staffing, and team leadership
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and event management or POS systems
- Ability to lift up to 25–50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, or related field preferred
