Job Summary
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all financial aspects of the World Bank account, including accounting, reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis.
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare, analyze, and present monthly profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and operating metrics.
- Monitor revenue, labor, food costs, and operating expenses to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Partner with operational leadership to develop annual budgets and ongoing financial forecasts.
- Review and reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve accounting discrepancies.
- Manage cash controls, bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, and POS reporting activities.
- Oversee client billing processes and ensure accurate and timely invoicing.
- Ensure compliance with company financial policies, accounting standards, and client contractual requirements.
- Support external and internal audits and coordinate responses to audit findings.
- Prepare and review sales tax and other regulatory filings as required.
- Develop, maintain, and strengthen internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Provide financial guidance and recommendations to account leadership to support strategic decision-making.
- Lead special projects, financial modeling, and process improvement initiatives.
- Mentor and support finance and administrative team members as needed.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Progressive accounting and financial management experience, preferably within hospitality, foodservice, contract dining, retail, or multi-unit operations.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls.
- Experience managing profit and loss statements and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting systems.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships across operational and corporate teams.
- Experience in hospitality, foodservice, contract dining, catering, or restaurant operations.
- Experience working with POS systems, cash management, and credit card reconciliation processes.
- Familiarity with ERP and accounting platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics GP, NetSuite, SAP, or similar systems.
- CPA, CMA, or other relevant professional certification is a plus.
- Experience supporting client-facing financial reporting and contract management environments.
