Job Summary
Wingate University Dining is seeking an energetic, hands-on Retail Manager to oversee our branded retail locations, including Chick-fil-A, Starbucks, and Einstein Bros. Bagels.
The ideal candidate has previous restaurant, retail, hospitality, or national brand experience and enjoys leading teams, developing associates, and driving operational results.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of Chick-fil-A, Starbucks, and Einstein Bros.
- Schedule and manage supervisors, leads, and hourly associates
- Manage ordering, receiving, inventory, and product availability
- Review PLMs, sales, labor, and operational performance
- Lead associate training, development, and onboarding
- Maintain brand, food safety, sanitation, and service standards
- Complete audits and follow up on operational opportunities
- Obtain and maintain required Chick-fil-A certification.
- Obtain Starbucks and Einsteins Training.
- Coach and hold team members accountable while creating a positive work environment
- Partner with the General Manager and university leadership to support dining goals
Qualifications
- 2+ years of restaurant, retail, hospitality, or food-service management experience preferred
- National brand experience preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Experience with scheduling, ordering, inventory, and cost control
- Energetic, positive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Open availability, including nights and weekends
