ATTENDANT, CATERING

Job Summary

Summary: Provides polished, attentive food and beverage service for premium catered events while ensuring exceptional presentation and seamless execution.

MUST HAVE FINE DINING OR CATERING/BANQUET EXPERIENCE TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION!

Qualifications:  

• Must possess or able to obtain a valid food handler's permit and/or alcohol servers' permit where required by state law.
• Open availability, including holidays, evenings and weekends
• Must have experience in fine dining, luxury hospitality, or high‑end catering
• Strong service instincts and elevated hospitality standards
• Calm, confident leadership style in high-visibility environments
• Professional presence and exceptional attention to detail
• Ability to lift and transport catering equipment and supplies (up to 50 lbs)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Delivers polished, attentive service for upscale catered events, premium hospitality functions, and fine dining experiences
• Executes food and beverage service according to established fine dining and high-end catering standards
• Professionally serves plated meals, passed hors d’oeuvres, buffet presentations, beverages, and other catered offerings
• Demonstrates exceptional attention to detail in table settings, place settings, buffet displays, service stations, and overall event presentation
• Sets and maintains elegant dining and event spaces, including tables, linens, décor, serviceware, glassware, and other presentation elements
• Maintains strong knowledge of menus, ingredients, preparation methods, beverage offerings, and service standards to confidently assist guests
• Anticipates guest needs and provides warm, discreet, and highly attentive service throughout the dining experience
• Maintains professional composure, appearance, and service etiquette in fast-paced, high-profile hospitality environments
• Coordinates closely with culinary, catering, and event leadership to ensure seamless timing and execution of service
• Monitors and maintains proper food temperatures, presentation standards, and product quality throughout catered functions
• Maintains buffet tables, service stations, and dining areas to ensure they remain clean, organized, fully stocked, and visually impeccable
• Efficiently clears, resets, and maintains tables while minimizing disruption to the guest experience
• Assists with the careful handling, organization, and return of china, glassware, flatware, serving equipment, and catering supplies
• Completes event breakdown and restoration of service areas to established cleanliness and presentation standards
• Maintains a clean, organized, and safe work environment while consistently following food safety, sanitation, and responsible service procedures
• Creates a welcoming and memorable guest experience through genuine hospitality, professionalism, and personalized service
• Performs additional duties as assigned to support exceptional event execution and guest satisfaction
