Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven General Manager to lead the full spectrum of operations at the prestigious Kellogg Conference Center, including food and beverage services, hotel and conference accommodations, audiovisual support, and facilities management. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for driving financial performance, elevating guest satisfaction, and fostering a culture of excellence and service.
Reporting directly to the Vice President of Operations, the General Manager will serve as the strategic and operational leader, ensuring seamless execution across all departments while maintaining compliance, optimizing resources, and inspiring a high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Leadership: Oversee all aspects of conference center and hotel operations, including culinary services, guest accommodations, event support, and AV services.
- Financial Stewardship: Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP and corporate policies. Identify trends, manage budgets, and implement cost-control strategies.
- Client & Corporate Partnership: Serve as a trusted advisor to both the client and corporate leadership, providing insights and recommendations based on financial and operational performance.
- Compliance & Reporting: Ensure timely and accurate reporting of financials, forecasts, and KPIs. Maintain compliance with the Management Agreement and internal controls.
- Team Development: Lead performance management processes, conduct regular audits, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
- Guest Experience: Champion the Platinum Service® culture, using guest feedback to enhance service delivery and exceed expectations.
- Facilities Oversight: Ensure the physical integrity and presentation of the property through proactive maintenance and vendor coordination.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or hospitality certifications a plus.
- 5–8 years of progressive leadership experience in hotel, conference center, or hospitality operations.
- Strong financial acumen with expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Exceptional communication, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated commitment to excellence, equity, and service.
- Adaptable, collaborative, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment.
