Job Summary
The Assistant Hospitality Manager is responsible for overseeing daily hospitality operations within a corporate workplace environment. Serving as the primary on-site hospitality representative, this role is essential to creating a welcoming, organized, and service-oriented experience for employees, guests, and clients.
The Assistant Hospitality Manager oversees hospitality counters, micro-kitchens, pantry services, food and beverage presentation, workplace events, vendor coordination, and client support. This position works closely with commissary culinary teams, external vendors, and client stakeholders to ensure hospitality spaces are fully stocked, well maintained, and consistently operating at Bon Appétit's high standards.
The ideal candidate is a hospitality-focused professional with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, sound decision-making abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service and workplace experiences.
Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure hospitality spaces, coffee stations, pantry areas, and micro-kitchens are clean, organized, fully stocked, and maintained to Bon Appétit standards.
  • Receive, inspect, organize, and properly store deliveries from commissary teams and external vendors.
  • Coordinate daily food, beverage, snack, and supply orders with commissary culinary and management teams.
  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels of snacks, beverages, coffee, paper products, and hospitality supplies.
  • Monitor the freshness, quality, presentation, and proper rotation of all food and beverage offerings.
  • Create and maintain attractive food displays and hospitality presentations throughout the day.
  • Ensure all end-of-day breakdown, cleaning, and reset procedures are completed thoroughly and efficiently.
  • Manage hospitality equipment and coordinate maintenance and repair services with vendors as needed.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with commissary teams, vendors, delivery personnel, client contacts, and workplace stakeholders.
  • Support hospitality-related meetings, events, and special functions, ensuring a seamless experience for attendees.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to client and guest requests while maintaining a high level of service excellence.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in hospitality, corporate food service, catering, workplace services, or a related service environment preferred.
  • Strong customer service, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and effectively manage daily operations with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to interact professionally and positively with a diverse customer, client, and employee population.
  • Experience coordinating with vendors, delivery services, commissary kitchens, or external food service providers preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt to changing business needs, and maintain professionalism in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with workplace communication and operational systems, including Google Workspace, Slack, CaterTrax, and other hospitality management platforms.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality, consistency, and guest satisfaction.
  • Flexibility to support occasional early morning, evening, or special event operations as business needs require.
