Job Summary
The Vice President of Finance serves as the strategic financial leader for the Canteen Midwest Division, partnering closely with the Division President and Sector CFO to drive growth, operational performance, and profitability across a $715M multi-state business. This role provides leadership for all finance and accounting functions, including financial planning, reporting, controls, compliance, and operational finance support, while leading initiatives that improve efficiency, scalability, and business performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all finance and accounting operations for a $715M multi-unit business across Illinois, Wisconsin, and Michigan.
- Partner with division and operational leadership to drive revenue growth, client retention, operational performance, and profitability initiatives.
- Oversee forecasting, budgeting, financial reporting, month-end close, and performance analysis processes.
- Deliver strategic financial insights and decision support to executive and operational leadership teams.
- Ensure strong internal controls, balance sheet integrity, corporate governance, and compliance standards.
- Lead finance transformation, process improvement, and organizational efficiency initiatives across the division.
- Develop and mentor finance and accounting teams while fostering a high-performance, collaborative culture.
- Support acquisitions, integrations, and other strategic business initiatives.
- Present monthly financial and operational performance results to executive leadership, including the CEO and CFO.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business required; MBA and/or CPA preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience within complex multi-unit organizations.
- Proven ability to partner with operational leadership to drive business performance and profitability.
- Strong experience in financial planning, reporting, controls, compliance, and operational finance.
- Demonstrated success leading process improvement, transformation, and change management initiatives.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, presentation, analytical, and influencing skills.
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP preferred.
- Ability to lead effectively across geographically dispersed teams and operations.
