Salary:  $64,000 - $70,000

Other Forms of Compensation: Annual bonus incentive up to 20%, Medical, Dental, & Vision.

Job Summary

Wellington Unified School District 353 is seeking an energetic, student-centered Director of Dining Services to lead a dynamic nutrition program serving approximately 1,500 students across six campus locations. This highly visible leadership role oversees all aspects of district dining operations, including food quality, financial performance, regulatory compliance, and the leadership and development of up to 20 frontline associates, while creating an exceptional dining experience for students every day.

We're looking for a hands-on leader who brings enthusiasm, innovation, and a passion for K-12 food service. The ideal candidate will excel at building strong partnerships with district leadership, developing high-performing teams, and driving operational excellence across multiple locations. Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversees all P&L and budgeting as it pertains to the account
  • Maintains excellent relationships with the client
  • Works with the team to create nutritious, high-quality food for students
  • Implements new culinary programs in conjunction with the marketing and culinary teams
  • Acts as a liaison between Chartwells, the client, and the community
  • Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient functioning of the dining services operation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in Management, Hospitality, Culinary, or Nutrition preferred; additional food service management experience
  • Three or more years of food service management experience
  • K-12 dining experience preferred
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Financial acumen with strong business intuition
