Job Summary
As a Sous Chef, you will play a key role in the daily operations of the Culinary Department, supporting high‑quality patient, retail, and catering food service within a healthcare environment. Working closely with the Executive Chef, you will assist in menu development, food production, staff supervision, and culinary innovation while ensuring excellence in food quality, safety, and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the Executive Chef in managing food and labor costs while maintaining fiscal responsibility
- Assist with menu planning, recipe development, and daily food production
- Supervise, train, and support hourly culinary associates as needed
- Prepare and execute catering events and special functions
- Ensure compliance with sanitation, food safety, and quality standards
- Assist with ordering, inventory control, and product utilization
- Implement new culinary programs in partnership with company culinary and marketing teams
- Participate in client and patient satisfaction initiatives
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent experience
- Progressive culinary or kitchen management experience (level dependent on education and training)
- Catering experience preferred
- Experience in high‑volume, complex foodservice operations strongly preferred
- Institutional or batch cooking experience helpful (healthcare or similar environments)
- Strong knowledge of food trends, quality standards, production processes, sanitation, food cost control, and presentation
- Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and email
- Willingness to participate in client and patient satisfaction programs
- ServSafe Certification highly desirable
