General Description:
Are you a creative self-starter who is energetic, task-oriented and has a positive attitude? Chartwells is looking for a Marketing Intern. In this role, you will work closely with Chartwells’ Director of Marketing to promote and design marketing content for several engagement and development programs. This is a wonderful opportunity for anyone interested in the field of communications, graphic design and/or marketing.
The Requirements:
• Outstanding communication skills, written and verbal
• Forward thinking and ability to create fun, exciting social media posts that attract and increase engagement
• Well organized, self-directed team player, with a focus on details
• Comfortable taking initiative, working in a collaborative setting as well as independently
• Ability to effectively manage time, multi-task and work with proprietary and confidential information
• Excellent knowledge of social media platforms, use of Sprout Social a plus
• Understanding of short form/ social media video content development, experience is a plus
• Knowledge of graphic design tools such Canva and/or other common design applications is a plus but not necessary
Job Responsibilities (May include but not limited to):
• Assist with the creation of concepts, campaigns, and imagery to effectively communicate messages that share our story
• Manage website and update content on social media and Boost Mobile Ordering as needed
• Develop social media content that is meaningful, fun and appeals to our guests
• Tells our brand story through design and marketing content
• Participate in meetings or other events as needed
• Assists the team with other projects as needed
Learning Objectives:
• Demonstrate awareness, understanding and skills necessary to work in a diverse environment
• Learn how to create and implement a social media calendar/marketing plan.
• Learn how to use multiple platforms and strategies to effectively promote a brand
• Learn how to create and implement design pieces that align with brand standards and help tell our story
• Connect with several senior leaders and build your professional network
Job Summary
This position is paid, but not eligible for benefits such as medical, relocation, or housing.
Because this position requires you to perform services in an educational facility, there may be periods when the Company does not require you to perform work (such as winter and summer breaks when food service needs decline or cease). Any such periods during which you do not perform work on the Company’s behalf may be unpaid and deemed a temporary layoff. However, depending on business needs, you may be required to work year-round, potentially at a different location during break periods. Business needs may vary from year to year.
