Job Summary
We’re currently seeking a Senior Director of Food and Nutrition Services to lead dining and clinical nutrition operations at a 200+ bed acute care hospital. This role offers an opportunity to make a measurable impact on patient satisfaction, safety, and well-being—while leading a talented and mission-driven team.
100 - 110K Salary, Bonus potential, 5-day work week, alternating weekends. Growth potential. relocation assistance if outside a 50-mile radius.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide overall leadership and direction for patient dining, retail foodservice, catering, and clinical nutrition operations
- Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality, nutritious meals that support healing and meet regulatory standards
- Partner with hospital leadership to align services with clinical and organizational goals
- Lead, coach, and develop a large multidisciplinary team including managers, RDs, and frontline associates
- Manage departmental budget, labor, purchasing, and cost controls to drive financial performance
- Ensure full compliance with safety, sanitation, and regulatory guidelines (Joint Commission, CMS, HACCP, etc.)
- Champion a culture of service excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement
- Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Foodservice Management, Nutrition, Dietetics, Hospitality, or related field (Master’s preferred)
- Registered Dietitian (RD) strongly preferred
- 7–10+ years of progressive food and nutrition leadership experience, preferably in a healthcare environment
- Proven success managing large teams, budgets, and operations in complex, high-volume settings
- Deep understanding of clinical nutrition programs and healthcare regulatory standards
- ServSafe® certified (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
- Experience with CBORD, Computrition, or similar foodservice platforms is a plus
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
