JOB SUMMARY:

The Production Coordinator is responsible for efficiently manufacturing all FruitGuys products according to The FruitGuys Good Manufacturing Practices while following all Food Safety, organic, allergens, and Standard Operating Procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS OF POSITION:

Set-up, restock and breakdown produce on the production line according to FIFO guidelines
Pack orders according to fruit maps and shipping labels ensuring that 100% accuracy and quality goals are met, that any special notes are adhered to, and that the box is sorted on the correct shipping pallet
Maintain an organized packing space during production – collect fruit for donation and store appropriately, break down cardboard, dispose of trash and recycling, move pallets, restock supplies
Learn and follow company SOPs, food-safety, organic, and OSHA policies and procedures 
Fold cardboard shipping boxes and sort recycled boxes
Stage all bulk cases for schools and cargo orders
Complete all cleaning as directed by The FruitGuys Food Safety policies; including but not limited to warehouse cooler, packing area, packing shelves and rollers, warehouse dock, and warehouse or office common use areas
Complete all individual and team work while staying on-pace during the day and finishing on-time
Keep communication open with supervisors and team members during the day, at team meetings, in one-on-one check-ins with the Production Supervisor
Follow all food safety protocols such as GMP requirements, quality standards, and sanitation procedures
Ensure all food safety related logs are completed according to requirements 
Participate in ongoing, required food safety and organic related trainings
Ensure that machinery and equipment are maintained and sanitized on a regular schedule
Follow appropriate sanitation procedures as spelled out in the Sanitation SOPs
 Work with approved vendors to ensure work is completed as expected and in compliance with food safety protocols
Ensure proper documentation is collected and stored appropriately
Ensure any work or sanitation that is completed is done in a manner to maintains food safety protocols and post-maintenance sanitation is completed according to food safety standards
Ensure those who are doing any maintenance or sanitation work are following GMPs and safety protocols

QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience working in a warehouse environment preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will intermittently lift 50 lbs.; be continually standing, walking, reaching, occasionally sitting, stooping, using hands to twist and visually inspect fruit.
